Hey guys, sorry for not updating for quite a while. I’m just up on a Sunday morning waiting for church. It has been 3 months since school has started and girls’ polo season started! eeeek. We scrimmaged Costa Mesa High on Tues. We lost by one, it was eh cause we didn’t have 2 starting players, and a freshman goalie, but that’s k, we’re going to have to just work on things. Someone grabbed my bottom during the game wth. Hm We have the Valley Girls’ Tournament tomorrow and we play Santa Ana at Santa Ana :D. It’s close to chreeestmas! wooweeee. I love the decorations and mood music. School is pretty aghh since i wake up at 5:30 or 5:45 AM and get in the pool, then have periods 1-5, get in during 6th period, do something until 5:30 PM, get in again, then come home around 8. Our polo game schedual is has a pretty good amount of games too. One week, we have 6 games yikes. I will have more time to spend at home and Properpink when swim comes probably. We’re going to have a new swim coach by the way, a real swim coach. :X Yikkkeeesss, i wonder how that’ll go. I’ll update later guys ♥

Hey guys, today was a very “eh” day, buttt yesterday went very well :)  School during the day went ok and then we had a lot of new polo/swim girls joining and the workout for 6th period was 30 100’s with clothes, fins, and paddles, and then a 200 cool down after.  The workout felt good and that was probably the most legit 200 cool down i ever swam.  I did some relays and sprints with the boys after school and we did some passing, half court and then we SCRIMMAGED! woo, i wanted to do polo for the longest time.  The day was good, and the workouts and stuff made my day :).  We had Yogurtland and Costco after, good stuff i must say.  Senior year is going a lot better than i imagined years prior.  I hope water polo will be ok or better.

I used PHOTOSHOP CS w/ this tutorial but PS CS is similiar to older versions as well

1) Open up your PHOTOSHOP program

2) Pick an image you would like to use this effect on, i chose the image below

1) Go to LAYER, then DUPLICATE LAYER.

1) You now have 2 LAYERS

2) Go to FILTERS, BLUR, then choose GAUSSIAN BLUR.

1) Where it says “RADIUS: ” choose around 3.0 pixels.

1) Now go to the bottom right toolbox where it says LAYERS, there is a drop-down menu that has all the effects it can add to your picture w/ the blur, i chose OVERLAY.

this is what i got :-p

1) Choose a picture you’d like to use the effect on, i chose the one below.

2) Go to LAYERS, then DUPLICATE.

1) Now you have 2 LAYERS

2) Go to ADJUST, then HUE AND SATURATION, then COLORIZE

1) Put the saturation bar on the right all the way to gray so your whole image turns to black and white. (hue color does not matter, since it will come out in black and white.)

1) Now go click the ERASOR TOOL.

1) You now can erase the black and white and color the areas you want to be colored, it’s good to use a circular brush around 80% hardness.

and i’m done!

I should stop here before i start getting even more bummed out.  buh-byeee.

I used Paint shop pro 8 w/ this tutorial but PSP8 is similiar to older versions as well

1) Open up your Paint Shop Pro program

2) Pick an image you would like to use this effect on, i chose the image above.

1) Go to LAYERS, then DUPLICATE.

1) You now have 2 layers.

2) Go to EFFECTS, then DISTORTION EFFECTS, then PIXELATE.

3) It’s better if your pixelated block size is symmetric, the size i chose was 25.

4) After you’re done, your image should look pixelated and funky lookin’.

1) Now, go to LAYERS, then PROPERTIES.

1) In the drop-down menu to the right of “BLEND MODE: “, you can choose what kind of effect your pixelation will show up as, i chose OVERLAY.
